Fishing enthusiast and nice guy Trevor spends the summer in his garden shed preparing bait and recording cassette tapes for his troubled friend, Pogo. When his kid step-brother, Dave, tells him he’s seen a giant carp in the local ponds, Trevor rallies a ramshackle group of youngsters for a night of fishing, reminiscing and confessing. Pond Life is a bittersweet and beautifully-crafted portrait of the changing dynamic of a group of friends in post-industrial Yorkshire.
